Pink Petal Books seeks to add to its current editorial staff. We’re seeking an Associate Editor, who will be primarily responsible for working with authors to edit manuscripts.
We’re looking for individuals with the following skills:
- Knowledge of grammar and story structure.
- An understanding of the market and trends for romance as a whole, as well as for individual sub-genres of romance.
- Willingness to work to house style.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Google Apps (including docs, calendar, wave, and other technologies), and other technologies as necessary.
- People Skills including the ability to provide constructive feedback to current and prospective authors.
- An outgoing personality to help cultivate interest in Pink Petal Books by appearing at scheduled chats or events as able and appropriate.
- A willingness to edit science fiction/fantasy and metaphysical/new age topics is helpful, but not required. Right now we are primarily seeking editors for our romance imprint, Pink Petal Books.
